♥ a doctor huh?

"once you get the Dr's title, that is only it. there is nothing special about that, if you don't have the skills, the knowledges and empathies for other people."

Sad experiences in *puskesmas today. I saw a health care practitioner that has few decades of experiences in medical field, yet ignored a patient (an old man) who enthusiastically telling about his health condition, just because he haven't registered. Dilly-dallying with hand phones and talking with colleagues while the patient is sitting there, waiting to be treated.

i keep wondering, will I be a heartless doctor once i'm there? Desensitize by all the sufferings and pains that the patient encounter. :S changes are good, when you are turning into the right direction. but if you are not, how to turn back?

life lesson no 2: don't ever send or reply messages when you are half-awake (sleeping), you'll end up saying things without thinking about the consequences. been there, did that.

life lesson no 3: if you don't have an empathy as a human, stop thinking about being a doctor. unless you are as smart as House who is a total jerk. but i'm afraid people still can't stand u anyway.

*puskesmas: pusat kesehatan masyarakat (primary health care)
